In my teens I used sports hypnosis. And it worked. Then I used hypnosis for fertility. And it worked. Then I used hypnosis when I was diagnosed with chronic pain. And you guessed it. It worked.

How much is Hypnotherapy?

How long is each session?

60mins. Although your very first session can sometimes take a little longer.

How often do I need to see you?

It’s up to you. Most people book weekly or fortnightly – depending on thier budget, thier diary & their eagerness to succeed. 

For stubborn issues that take a little longer, some people like to spread sessions further apart.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on you. You may have a set time frame. Perhaps an event you need to be ready for. 

Simple phobias usually just take 2-3 sessions/

A single incident phobia may only take 2 sessions.

Most other issues usually take 4 – 8 sessions.

Think of it like this. Some people are happy just learning to walk. Others want to fly!

So you decide how many sessions you need. Not a session more.

And each session is booked one at a time.

Your First Hypnotherapy Session

Your Hypnotherapy sessions will seamlessly combine Modern Solution Focused Talking Therapy & Hypnosis.

In your first session:

  • I want to know what your priorities are – what you want to work on first.
  • We’ll discuss what route we’ll take and whats aspects of hypnotherapy will help you most.
  • How often you want your sessions?
  • Start building picture of your best hopes
  • What skills, abilities & coping mechanisms you already have.

And from then on? We’ll start unravelliing all those unwanted thoughts or habits. Recognising them for what they are (and they are perfectly normal I assure you).

And of course, each session well use the most helpful mix hypnosis, NLP or rewind therapy.

What I love most about therapy is that we will be moving towards what you do want.

So you don’t have to tell me about your past.

It focuses on what is working, rather that what isn’t. We cannot change the past. But we can change the present & the future. The way we feel about it & the way we respond to it.

The number of sessions required depends on you. Your sessions are client led. This means we regularly evaluate how Hypnotherapy is helping. And you decide how many sessions you have and how often.

Hypnotherapy sessions are 50-60mins. The number of sessions required varies from person to person. And it will dependant on what you want to achieve. 2-8 sessions is most typical.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a trance or daydream like state that we naturally go into throughout the day. Hypnosis is a very relaxed state of mind, in which we have complete control. So what is Hypnotherapy?

When even small things start to go wrong we can change the way we think. And the way we think effects the way we feel. So often ‘the problem’ is a merely a symptom of something else.

And whilst old fashioned therapies still investigate the problem, modern research shows that Solution Focused therapy is more effective . Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses SF therapies and Hypnosis to bring about positive change & restore balance.

I use a number of modalities including solution focused therapy, psychotherapy, CBT, ABT and Mindfuless. And of course Clinical hypnosis. Hypnosis helps the mind bring about the positive change you want. (I describe hypnosis as the jet pack behind your therapy!)

Rewind Technique

Described as ‘Closure without disclosure’, the updated Rewind Technique (RT) is a fast and effective way of helping with trauma, PTS, PTSD & CPTSD. This technique is helpful if you have experienced and are struggling to move on from a traumatic, life threatening or extremely stressful event.

The Rewind Technique has the benefit of non-disclosure. So you don’t need to tell me what heppened for this to help.

And only a few sessions are required. Sometimes one session might be enough. This can be booked alongside other hypnotherapy sessions or as a standalone therapy. Contact me to book.
