What will your first Hypnotherapy session be like?

In your first session I will ask you what you want? And what that might look like? This is important, because it’s like setting a Sat Nav. If we know what you want? We’ll know when you get there.


What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

It focuses on what is working, rather that what isn’t. We cannot change the past. But we can change the present & the future. The way we feel about it & the way we respond to it.

Most of my clients have tried other therapies before. Then they come to me on personal recommendation because I can help.

We get better at focusing on them. And even better at living them! Solution focused therapy is different. “Life changing” as my client’s often say.

And I believe in making it easy for you. My Oxford Hypnotherapy practice is in Horspath village, on the edge of Oxford near Wheatley & Headington. It overlooks nothing but a quiet leafy nature reserve. And I offer parking that is private and plentiful. Best of all, because I don’t book clients back to back, you will have no need to wait. The number of sessions required depends on you. Your sessions are client led. This means we regularly evaluate how Hypnotherapy is helping. And you decide how many sessions yu have and how often.

Hypnotherapy sessions are 50-60mins. The number of sessions required varies from person to person. And it will dependant on what you want to achieve. 2-8 sessions is most typical.

Trauma Rewind Therapy

Rewind sessions are 50-60mins. Your first session may be slightly longer. 1 to 3 sessions is usually enough.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a trance or daydream like state that we naturally go into throughout the day. Hypnosis is a very relaxed state of mind, in which we have complete control. So what is Hypnotherapy?

When even small things start to go wrong we can change the way we think. And the way we think effects the way we feel. So often ‘the problem’ is a merely a symptom of something else.

And whilst old fashioned therapies still investigate the problem, modern research shows that Solution Focused therapy is more effective . Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses SF therapies and Hypnosis to bring about positive change & restore balance.

I use a number of modalities including solution focused therapy, psychotherapy, CBT, ABT and Mindfuless. And of course Clinical hypnosis. Hypnosis helps the mind bring about the positive change you want. (I describe hypnosis as the jet pack behind your therapy!)

Rewind Technique

Described as ‘Closure without disclosure’, the updated Rewind Technique (RT) is a fast and effective way of helping with trauma, PTS, PTSD & CPTSD. This technique is helpful if you have experienced and are struggling to move on from a traumatic, life threatening or extremely stressful event.

The Rewind Technique has the benefit of non-disclosure. So you don’t need to tell me what heppened for this to help.

And only a few sessions are required. Sometimes one session might be enough. This can be booked alongside other hypnotherapy sessions or as a standalone therapy. Contact me to book.
